Tim Wilson
Drums, Vocals, Percussion

Tims music interests started in elementary school when he started playing the sax in fifth grade. He later switched over to the drums in High School. With Eight years of school band, music theory classes, & music appreciation classes to his credit, he started his music career.
Along with playing with various musicians, Tim played drums for the musical "Godspell" & " Jesus Christ Superstar", then later moved on to form his own first road band "Headwinds", which played the club circuit for two years, including opening shows for Robin Thompson, The Artimis Pyle Band, David Allan Coe, & Johnny Paycheck.
Tim then joined forces with "First Offense", doing a big club circuit. After signing on with Cellar Door Productions he opened shows for RATT, Eddie Money, Molley Hatchet, Black Oak Arkansas, & Kix. Along with two other members of First Offense Tim formed "X-High" and took over where First Offense left off playing large halls and opening shows for Nantucket, Redseven, & Poison Dollies. After a break from the road Tim formed "Passion" which spent most of their time recording and playing clubs to promote their single "Kerri" & CD "Pantyraid". They also opened shows for Detente U.K. and Nantucket. Tim then decided to take a break from playing and formed his own company "Straightshot Productions", doing booking, management, sound company and opening his own club "The Entertainment Factory". Tim began playing again with Tony Hill, nephew of Dusty Hill with ZZ Top, in a band called "E.Z. Prey". Tim put together the band for Shenanarts Production of Pink Floyds "The Wall". Tim then went with his first country venture with "Midnight Cowboys" which led to the original "Southern Company". After taking a few year break Tim reformed First Offense and then into the "New, Revised, & Ready To Rock Southern Company".
Tims playing is aggressive & stylish showing influences from John Bonham, Tommy Aldridge, & Neil Peart. Tim not only provides the driving beat for Southern Company but also adds a visual element to the stage show with his showmanship and in general "Have a good time" attitude. Off stage Tim handles the band booking and any business matters pertaining the band, including public relations. Tim also helps in writing Southern Company originals.
